Well the second Kirkcudbright Steampunk Weekend got off to a fabulous start at the end of June 2024 with great stalls, live music and a wonderful Victorian tea room, not to mention the great costumes perambulating around the Soaperie Gardens. Thank you to all who made it another success. The great news is that we will have a repeat performance next year – 7th & 8th June 2025 to be precise. Next year we are hoping for a bigger and better event which will be under the auspices of Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities but still convened by Kirkcudbright Steampunk Agency with Lady Susannah de Borgue and Captain Max Snoot at the helm. We already have a number of very valuable offers from volunteers, so watch this space for more news. Do get in touch if you have any ideas for entertainment to make the event even more SPLENDID!!

There’s lots to do in Kirkcudbright in addition to attending the Steampunk Weekend. There is an extensive programme of Summer Festivities and the town has many galleries, cafes and local shops. The surrounding area extends from the beautiful beaches around the Solway Firth coast to the rugged landscapes of the Galloway Forest Park.
