Out and About in Kirkcudbright

The inaugural Kirkcudbright Steampunk weekend, on the 17th and 18th of June 2023, saw many splendid folk out and about in the streets of Kirkcudbright, displaying their magnificent attire and accoutrements.

A big thank you to our sponsors and helpers who supported our vision for the weekend and helped to make it a big success.

Weekend Programme

Here’s the programme of events that were presented for the inaugural Steampunk Weekend in 2023. We hope to have an expanded programme of events and activities for next year’s event.

Saturday 17 June 2023

10am – 4pm: Stalls and Exhibits in the Soaperie Gardens and the Scout Hall, near Parish Church, St Marys Street.

10.30am – 2.30pm: Mask and Hat Decorating

10.30am – 3.00 Recycled Inner tubes turned into steampunk items Workshop

Blinkered Bar – Drinks throughout day from Horsebox with a difference

The Garret Hotel, 116 High Street – Music from noon – 2pm Featuring Bob J Cat & Steaming Foggs in the marquee.

The Johnston Building – Victorian Primary School, St Marys Street.

7 – 10.30pm  The Cabaret, Parish Hall, opposite the Church on St Marys St. Featuring Ukulele Music, Harp, Magic Show, Storytelling, Comedy, Raffle. Bring your own refreshments. Entry only by ticket. £12 via the website.
